Michael Macri, P.E.
Principal
Michael A. Macri is a licensed professional engineer in New York, Connecticut and Ohio with over 30 years of structural engineering experience. He has extensive experience in the design and construction of high-end, custom built residential buildings as well as commercial structures. Michael earned a BSE from UCONN School of Engineering in 1981 and worked for prominent engineering firms in the area before going solo in 1988. He is a licensed engineer in CT, NY and OH, and offers code-consulting services for several "out-of-state" architectural firms.
Bernard Grossfield, P.E.
Founder / Retired Principal
Dr. Bernard Grossfield, P. E., founded Bernard Grossfield Consulting Engineer in 1988. His successful 40-year career in structural engineering began in academia where for 25 years he taught graduate and undergraduate courses at NYU/Polytechnic University. During that time, he also served as a consultant to structural engineering firms in the New York region.
Dr. Grossfield retired after a distinguished career designing post-tensioned concrete structures such as parking garages and lift slab buildings. Other areas of his practice involved both new and remedial foundation design, including underpinning and shoring, cast-in-place concrete structures, steel frames and timber construction.
